Angelo Bonaventure, 86, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2016 at Trinity West Hospital.
He was born February 12, 1930 in Steubenville.  He is the son of the late Damiano and Edith (D’Aurora) Bonaventura.
He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after 41 years.
He is preceded in death by wife, Eleanor (Boehke) on December 20, 2011, four brothers, Camillo (Wimpy), Clarence, Mario (Sonny), Rudolph (Rudy) Bonaventura and two sisters, Rose Pompe and Olga Sbrochi.
He is survived by sons, David and Richard, brother, Alfred and sister, Virginia (Nick) Yuricic and many nieces, nephews, great-ieces and great- nephews, all of whom will feel his loss.
Angelo is greatly loved by his family and was happiest any time we were all together. All who knew him would say that he was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor.  Young children were drawn to him as he would give them his attention, never declining to play games or telling jokes.  He was a support to his family, readily available to help in any way that he could.  He filled our lives with love and laughter and we will miss him every single day.
According to his wishes, a memorial service will be held at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday at 10 a.m., interment service following in the Mount Calvary chapel.
