Ann Sergakis Skulas

Ann Sergakis Skulas, 92, a resident of Bolger’s Country Club Manor in Steubenville, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Trinity West. Ann was born in Burgettstown, PA, a daughter of Gus and Christina Blazakis Sergakis, in 1924. She was married in 1946 to John Skulas, who preceded her in death in 2004. Ann was also preceded in death by her brothers Manuel and Peter Sergakis and her sister Helen Stephens. Ann is survived by her daughters Joanne (Patrick) McCraley and Connie (George) Sergakis, both of Bloomingdale, and her sons Tony (Karen) of Utica, OH and George of Mogadore. Also surviving are grandchildren Georgianna (Curt) Martin, Mano Sergakis, Kathy McCraley, Kelley McCraley, Anthony Skulas, John Skulas, and Julie (Jeff) Neumer, along with six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ann worked in a munitions plant during World War II and at Kaufmann’s at the Fort Steuben Mall until her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Yiayia, Great-Yiayia, and Thea. Ann was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and was a past president of the Philoptochos Society. Friends and relatives will be received at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. on Sunday, March 26, from 2 to 6 PM. and on Monday March 27,at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 300 S, Fourth St. from Noon until the time of services at 1:00pm, Fr.
