Betty Jane "Janie" Tedreau 88 of Steubneville died Tuesday February 27, 2018 at Valley Hospice. She was born September 29, 1929, in Steubenville. She is oldest child of the late Robert & Lillian Simpson Gillen. Betty is also preceded in death by her first husband, Roy King Tedreau April 1, 1978 and her second husband, Earl J. Nelson March 1, 2006, two sisters, Barbara Ann Mencer and Beverly Crewson.
Janie was retired from the former Kaufmanns Department Store.
Surviving are her four daughters, Pamela (Dan) Kearney of Wintersville, Michelle Tedreau with whom she resided, Melissa (Franco) Torini, and Renee Tedreau (Kenneth) all of Steubenville.
One sister Lillian Kerr, of Steubenville and one brother Robert (Mary Lou) Gillen, of Dover.
Granddaughters, Francesca Torini, a student at Ohio University and Alexis Brewer, a student at EGCC
Janie was a wonderful mother to her 4 girls and exceptional "Nana" to her 2 granddaughters. "Nana isms" will live with us forever. Mama, soar with the eagles and dance with Daddy until we meet again! We will love you forever.
Calling hours will be Friday from 12 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel. Rev. Jeff Proya will officiate and burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
