Chester A. Wiley

Chester A. Wiley, 78, of Bloomingdale died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Valley Hospice. He was born December 27, 1938 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Clarence "Dutch" and Edna Howell Wiley. He is also preceded in death by one brother Robert Wiley; two sisters Lorraine Martin, Lucy Williamson and one brother in law Jim Williamson.

Chester was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a millwright and served his country in the US Army.

Surviving are his wife Judy Achhammer Wiley, whom he married May 12, 1962; three sons Ted of Columbus, Russell of Bloomingdale and Scott (Bernadette) of Chester, WV; sister in law Shirley (Karl) Myers of Bloomingdale; mother in law Margaret Achhammer of Bloomingdale; brother in law Ronnie Martin of Bloomingdale; two sisters Barbara (Rudy) Hawk of Carrolton and Maxine Beer of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren Jeremy (Alisha) Webb, Russell (fiancé Star Hartong), Private Cole Wiley, Karly (Long time boy friend Jakob Ford) Wiley and Wyatt Wiley.

Chester was a member of the VFW post 232 Amsterdam, Unionport F&AM Lodge 333, and the Steubenville Shrine Club.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home, Pastor Clint Quillen will officiate. Burial will follow in Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
