Clareann Slomski

Clareann Slomski, 86, of Steubenville died June 9 in Upper St Clair, PA.
 She was born October 9, 1930 in Mingo Jct., a daughter of the late Karl and Ann Walko  Sohovich.  Clareann was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Walter; sisters Pauline Latzy and Cecilia Day and two brothers, Edward and Carl Sohovich.
Surviving are her daughter Dr. Carol Slomski (Keith) of Pittsburgh; son Attorney David Slomski of Pittsburgh, and four grandchildren: Bengt, Chloe, Halle and Tyler.
Clareann graduated from Ohio Dominican University and earned post-graduate credits from the University of Dayton and Franciscan University.  She worked as a registered nurse at the former Ohio Valley Hospital and retired as a teacher from St Agnes School.  She subsequently did substitute teaching for diocesan schools, Indian Creek and Steubenville city schools.
 She was a member of Holy Family Church where she served in the adult choir, as a lector and on the deanery council.  She also belonged to several bridge clubs.
