Daniel E. Pizzoferrato

Daniel E. Pizzoferrato Sr., 77, of Weirton, formerly of Mingo Jct., died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Lancia Villa Royale. 
He was born March 20, 1940 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Joseph and Viola White Pizzoferrato. 
Also preceding him in death are three brothers Joe, Richard and Patrick Pizzoferrato; one infant son Mark Pizzoferrato and grandson Robert Daniel Pizzoferrato.
Daniel was a retired Mingo Jct. Police officer where he served for 27 years. He was also a member of the K of C Council 4361, the K of C bocce league in Weirton and the FOP Lodge Number 1. 
Surviving are two sons Dan (Tina) of Steubenville and Bob (fiance Jami) of Weirton; one brother Ron Pizzoferrato of Mingo Jct; granddaughters Danielle and Tara; ex-wife Jeanette of Mingo and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, Fr. Walter Heinz will officiate. Burial will be private at Mt. Calvary.
