Donald E. "Donnie" Masters

Donald E. "Donnie" Masters, 84, of Steubenville died Friday, May 12, 2017 at Valley Hospice. He was born August 20, 1932 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Harry Masters and Jean O'Dell Masters Burgham. Also preceding him in death are three brothers Harry, William, James Robert Masters and one sister Mary Ann Valuska. Donnie was retired from Wheeling Pitt Steel BOF Dept. and his partnership with his wife in Travel Masters Inc. He was a former member of the Elks and Steubenville Kiwanis, and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife Betty Lascaro Masters, whom he married October 12, 1963; nieces and nephews Deborah (David) Kriegel, Dayle (Bob) Grimm, Twyla (David) Wszeborowski, Mary Kolling, Anna Marie (Jim) Woods, Michael (Maggie) Valuska, Roberta (Scott) Cullen, James R. Masters and Donna Masters. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at Noon at the funeral home, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will officiate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
