Elsie Blancato

Elsie Blancato, 81, of Steubenville, died Friday, March 24, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family. 
She was born June 11, 1935 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late William and Bessie Mae Emeory Evans. 
She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Roxane Blancato Bruce and four brothers, William "Ditz", Fred, Jack and Bob Evans.
 Elsie worked at the former Smith Party Center and was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church.
 Surviving are her husband, William Blancato, Sr., who have been married for 40 years, three sons, Mario Bonaventura of Steubenville, William Blancato, Jr. of New Albany, IN and Robert Blancato of Arlington, TX; three daughters, Mary (Mike) Cloutier of Sun City, CA, Marla (Joe) Rockey of Steubenville and Patricia Ann Baker of Steubenville; one sister, Mary (Pete) Barren of Steubenville; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Elsie was an avid reader, lover of the Ocean and will be missed by her two Chihuahuas, Tiger and Bella.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr Ryan Grey will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
