Fr. Pete A. Giannamore, 67, of Steubenville died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born June 27, 1948, in Steubenville. He was the son of the late Vincent A. and Mary DeFalco Giannamore.
Fr. Pete was a retired contract administrator for the Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. with 20 years of service. He was then ordained into the Priesthood on May 13, 1995, and spent many years as Pastor at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee. Fr. Pete was a member of Theta Chi Alpha and the Follansbee Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are two brothers, Dr. Vincent P. Giannamore of Thibodaux, LA, and David (Pam) Giannamore of Mingo Jct.
Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
Additional visitation will take place Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral liturgy with mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee. Bishop Michael Bransfield will celebrate. Burial will be private. A vigil service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
