Howard F. Kuester, 87, of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, May 15th, 2016, at Gables Care Center.
He was born March 14,1929 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Frank and Wilma (Halm) Kuester.
Preceding Howard in death is his beloved wife of 50 years, Nora (Dineen) Kuester; brother, Floyd Kuester; sister, Edna (Kuester) Chapman- Weaver; brother, Harry Kuester; infant grandson, Matthew Paul Goodwin and great-grandson Matthew Tyler Smith.
Howard was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, The Order Odd Fellows, The American Legion Post 33, and The Teamsters Union.
After attending Steubenville High School, Howard served in the United States Navy until 1953. Howard retired from Modern Dairy after 30 years and was then self employed at In and Out Market and Water Transport.
Surviving are two sons Michael Kuester and companion, Janet Lawrence of Bloomingdale; Bob Kuester and companion, Annette Magazzeni of Wintersville, and three daughters; Barbara Kuester of Gallipolis, OH; Linda Kuester of Columbus, OH and Mary (Chris) Goodwin of Columbus, OH; one sister, Thelma (Kuester) Cook of Nokomis, FL; three grand children; Megan, MichaelAnn and Tommy; and four great-grandchildren; Julianna, Michael, Ryan and Molly.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 17th from 4-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Boulevard, Steubenville. Visitation will continue on Wednesday May 18th at Noon until time of services at 1 p.m.
Burial will be private at a later date.
