Irma "Nona" Pignalitti

Irma N. Fornsaglio Pignalitti, 91, of Steubenville died Tuesday May 17, 2016. Born May 6, 1925 to Salvatore & Vingenza (Presutti) Fronzaglia. She is preceded in death by her husband Julio C. Pignalitti whom she married February 15, 1947, at St. Anthony Catholic Church Steubenville. Also preceded by brothers Frank & John Fornsaglio; sisters Florence Delatore, Margaret Lamatrice & Gilda DeJaro; & son-in-law Stephen Zamana. Irma is survived by her loving daughter Francesca Pignalitti Zamana; granddaughters Angela (Fred) Younce, Julie (Michael) Conlon, & Mia (fiancé Gary Stubbs II); great grandchildren Norah & Jacob-Stephen Younce; & many nieces & nephews. She was a long time member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, it's CWC & volunteered at St. Anthony's grade school. She was a founding member of the Triple Four card club & was often found playing cards with family & friends. Dance, song, ice cream & coffee were among Irma's favorites. Irma was a homemaker who centered her affection upon her beloved family & friends, as she will be remembered for her generous and selfless nature. In true Italian fashion she was a talented cook, baker & hostess enjoying every opportunity available to share her talents. At Irma's table, there was always room for one more person, one more helping & one more cup of coffee. Her love of cooking employed her as a cook for her nephew at his restaurants. With the birth of her three granddaughters, whom she reared, she lovingly became known as "Nona" to all. Nona could always be found with perfect attendance & cheers at Catholic Central's sporting events-weather & distance not a factor. Calling hours Sunday, May 22, 4pm-8pm Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated Monday, May 23, 11:30am, Holy Rosary Church, Fr. Thomas Nau celebrant. There will be a vigil service 7:45 pm Sunday. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
