James R. "Jimmy" Moore

James R. "Jimmy" Moore, 80, of Steubenville passed away Wednesday November 16,
2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born May 24, 1936 in Wileyville, W.V. He
is the son of the late Arvil Moore and Georgie Morris Schwartz. He is also preceded in
death by his brother Vernon Moore, Sister Karen (Moore) Crowder and brother in law
Kenneth Riggs, and stepfather Vincent Schwartz.

Jimmy was retired from Weirton Steel and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a
member of Jefferson County Sportsman Assoc., Polish Athletic Club, Weirton Moose
Lodge and the Weirton Steel 25 year Club.

Jimmy served his country in the Unites States Air Force.

Surviving are is loving wife Frances (Koenig) Moore, whom he married June 15, 1959,
one son James R. (Lori) Moore, Jr. of Steubenville; one daughter Glenna (Jack) Kennedy
of Steubenville; one brother Colin (Debbie) Moore of MI; two sisters Keri Riggs of MI
and Sherry (Keith) Manard of MI; four grandchildren Travis Moore, Amanda Moore,
Devin (Samantha) Kennedy, Dallas Kennedy, one great grandson James Kennedy and
many nieces and nephews, and step mother, Nina Moore of MI.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel,
4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Monday 10 am at the
funeral home. Entombment will follow at Union Cemetery.
