JoAnne "Jo Jo" DeMayo

JoAnne "Jo Jo" M. DeMayo, 51, of Steubenville died Sunday, April 2, 2017 at UPMC. She was born January 9, 1966 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the Sharon Mapel (Donald) Hoit of Wellsburg and the late Albert DeMayo, Jr. Also preceding her in death is her stepmother Patricia Hein DeMayo. Jo Jo did catering with her Dad and worked at the former Herald Square Cigar Store. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Jo Jo loved to fish, bowl, cook, and the outdoors. Surviving are her daughter Nina Aleksiejczyk of Pittsburgh, partner Fran Smogor of Steubenville; four sisters Shari (Greg) Kilcoyne of Steubenville, Robin (Kraig) Morgan of New Cumberland, Debbie DeMayo of Toronto and Dawn Myers of Wellsburg, and Dane Watkins of Steubenville. Her uncles, Ray DeMayo of Steubenville and Tony (Gayna) Domanico of Cincinnati, Aunts, Donna (Carl) Merenda of Weirton and Jan (Clarence) Clark of Cortland. Also many loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and cousins Calling hours will be Friday from 2-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. A vigil service will be Friday at 5:45pm. Burial will follow at Mt.
