John A. "Baldy" Parise

John A. "Baldy" Parise, 88, of Steubenville died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at home. 
He was born November 22, 1928 in Steubenville. 
He is the son of the late Dominick and Donata Vernacchio Parise. 
Also preceding John in death are his wife Matilda D'Alanno Parise; one daughter Paula Chambers; six brothers George, Andrew, Joseph, Ross "Babe", Steve and Peter; four sisters Mabel Rusanski, Eleanor Nelson, Alice Potenzini. 
Baldy was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church. He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. 
Surviving are one son JD (Connie) Parise of Steubenville; two daughters Karyn (Joe) D'Ulisse and Carrie Jo (Ted) Kostecki both of Steubenville; one sister Grace Prihodka of New Jersey; eight grandchildren Adrienne (Jayson) Daugherty, Zach and John-Anthony D'Ulisse, Vince, Noralyn and Cedro Parise, Emily and Johnny Kostecki.
Baldy loved golf, baseball and following his grandchildren's sporting events. 
The family would like to invite everyone to a Memorial Mass Thursday, April 20 at noon at Holy Rosary Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. 
The family would like to thank Valley Hospice for their care of our father.
