Kathleen M. "Tootsie" DeLeonardis

Kathleen M. "Tootsie" DeLeonardis 87 of Steubenville died Tuesday February 27, 2018 at Villa Vista. She was born November 21, 1930 in Clarksburg, WV. She is the daughter of the late Bernard and Rose Stumpo Ferrise, Tootsie is also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Deleonardis, son, Justin, Two brothers, Frank and Pete Ferrise, one sister, Bernadine (Bernie) Treglia.

Tootsie worked at Weirton Steel in the payroll department and the former Horning's Bakery.

Surviving are her two sons, Arthur of Steubenville and John of Wintersville. One daughter, Diane (Thomas) Kotur of Wintersville. One sister, Rosalind (Dolly) Falasca of Steubenville. Three grandsons, Tommy, Christopher, and Steven Kotur. Daughter in law Vicki DeLeonardis.

Tootsie was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the former St. Anthony Catholic Church , its CWC, and the Gadabouts

"What The Mind can't remember the heart never forgets", Tootsie will be remembered as a humble compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passions included family, faith, cooking, music, conversation and her Italian heritage. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and was lovingly referred to as the human pacifier.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassion attentiveness and quality care given to our mother during her stay at Lancia Villa Vista 

Calling hours are Friday 5-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 am Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Gossett, celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a vigil service Friday at 5 pm.
