Mark P. Elson

Mark P. Elson, 52, of Steubenville, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. 
He was born April 25, 1964 in Steubenville. He is the son of Jack Elson and the late Eleanor Cullen Elson.
Mark formerly worked for the City of Steubenville in the Waste Water Dept. He was a graduate of the former Jefferson Union High School, class of 1982.
Surviving are his wife Patti Glatz Elson, whom he married August 29, 1987; one son, Mark Elson (Olivia Davis) of Houston, TX; one daughter, Morgan Elson (Marco Michetti) of Steubenville; two brothers, John (Peggy) Elson of Steubenville, Dave Elson of Steubenville and one sister, Pat (Kirk) Dahlem of Toronto.
Mark loved to help his neighbors by fixing cars, snowplowing, building things and tinkering with just about anything.
 Calling hours will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Saturday 10 am at the funeral home, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
