Nelson W. Gregor Sr., 82, of  Steubenville, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at home.
He was born September 23, 1933, in Wolf Run, OH. He is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Danko Gregor.  Nelson is also preceded by his first wife, Dorothy Ann Guess Gregor; son, Nelson W. Gregor Jr.; brother, Leonard Gregor; and an infant great-grandson, Landon Gregor.
Nelson was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church. He was retired from Timet, where he was a forklift operator, and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine Rampe Gregor, whom he married January 5, 1991; one son, Robert (Teri) Gregor of Dublin; four daughters, Colleen Barnes, of Steubenville, Lynette (Carl) Griffin of Pickerington, Terri Zapor of Steubenville, and Christina (Jeffrey) Mader of Amsterdam; two brothers, Paul (Helen) Gregor of Amsterdam, and Edward Gregor of Richmond; one sister, Darlene (George) Guess of Green Cove Springs, FL; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Nelson attended daily Mass and perpetual adoration at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  He was an avid golfer and traveler.
Calling hours are Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, and on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 333 North Main St., Amsterdam, Ohio, 10 a.m. until the time of a Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 a.m.  Father Jack McCoy will celebrate and Father Dale Tornes will concelebrate.  Burial will follow at Bergholz Cemetery.
There will be a vigil service at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
