Olga Pasquarella Obituary

Olga H. Pasquarella (Baba), 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 6, at Gables Care Center.

She was born on February 13, 1924 in Wolf Run Ohio, the daughter of Yaroslav and Anna Repella Halkovich. She was a member of All Saints Orthodox Church, Wolf Run Ohio, and later Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, Steubenville where she was a faithful and devoted member.

Olga served the WWII effort as a Rosie the Riveter by bucking rivets on the wings of the C-47. After the war she became a devoted wife and mother. Her smiling face could be found at Pasquarella’s Beverage Center where she worked with her husband Joe. She will be remembered for the many delicious meals she prepared for all who were welcome, her love for her husband, children, grandchildren and her deep unwavering faith and love of church. She enjoyed word search puzzles, playing Bingo, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She was known for saying “Come here, let me give you a kiss”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Milley and Helen Faccinto,

Olga is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joseph R Pasquarella, her sons, Michael (Alice) Pasquarella, of San Antonio, TX, Anthony (Kathie) Pasquarella of Steubenville, OH, and her daughter Annette Pasquarella of Greenville, NC; grandchildren Anna (Dan) Piscina of Los Angeles, CA, Rosa Pasquarella of Los Angeles, CA, Julia Pasquarella of Austin, TX, and Cristina Pasquarella of San Antonio, TX, Natalie (Jamin) Pastore of Bergen County, NJ, Valerie (Joe) Koerschner of Uniontown, OH, Joseph (Christine Seif) Pasquarella of Massillon, OH, and Nick Pasquarella of Columbus OH; great-grandchildren Gabriella, Isabella, Bertrand Carmine, Jamin James, and Anthony Joseph; and loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Sunday, February 11, from 3-6 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville. Parastas services will be Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Friends may call on Monday, February 12, at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, 206 N 10th St, Steubenville, OH from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Kopcha officiating and assisted by Fr. Nicholas Halkias. Burial at Mt. Calvary cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church 206 10th St, Steubenville, OH 43952.
