Roderick "Rod" Torrance

Roderick "Rod" S. Torrance Jr., 79, of Wintersville died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Trinity West. He was born March 28, 1938 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Roderick and Virginia Pearce Torrance. Also preceding him in death is his wife Veronica "Ronnie" Mastroianni Torrance.

Rod was retired from Steubenville Plate Glass. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He liked to golf, bowl, and played drums in many area bands. Rod was also an avid Notre Dame fan.

Surviving are one son Rob (Jill) Torrance of Wintersville; three daughters Diane (Chris) Shultz of Wintersville, Frankie (Kenny) Anderson of Steubenville and Lori (Randy) Blue of Wintersville; one brother James (Janice) Torrance of Weirton; nine grandchildren Blaise, Alex, Michaela, Adam, Nicholas, Aidan, Luke, Ryan and Abbey; two great grandchildren Sophia and Adriana; one niece Roni Artale of Cleveland and one great nephew Michael Artale.

Calling hours will be Monday from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Tom Nau will officiate the service.
