William (Bill) Mackinaw Obituary

William (Bill) John Mackinaw (aka UB), 68, of Steubenville died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Born February 20, 1949 in Steubenville.

He was a retired oiler in the 80-inch of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a Marine veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Mackinaw, Jr. and Elsie V. (Nelson) Mackinaw and an infant brother John K. Mackinaw.

Surviving are his sisters, Rita (Dave) Wigal and Sharon Larkins, nieces and nephew, Karen (Bill) LaGard, Chris (Paul) Molinaro and Pete (Marlene) Lamantia, several great nieces and great nephews.

Special Friends, Nancy Leoni, Craig and Carolyn McFarland and Diane, Preston and Delshawn Woods.

He liked to travel, nice cars and loved animals especially his dog Bear.

Calling hours are Friday 2-5pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.  services will be held at 5:00 pm. Chaplin Jack Ernest will officiate.  Burial will take place at a later date in Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 200 Airpark Rd., Wintersville, OH.
