Alfred J. Carducci, 97, of Steubenville, recently living in Delaware, died Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Delaware. He was born August 23, 1920 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Sante and Agatha Demayo Carducci. He is also preceded in death by his wife Antoinette Tegano Carducci, brothers Anthony, Herman and Robert Carducci, infant brother Eddie and infant sister Helen.
Alfred was retired from Conrail as a shop foreman. He served his country as a sergeant in the Army during WWII. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish and former St. Anthony Catholic Church where he was active in the Men's Club. He was also a member of American Legion Post 33.
Surviving are two daughters Maria (William) Huntley of Delaware, Agatha (Paul) Kuhn of Philadelphia; brother, Ernest Carducci of Steubenville, sister-in-laws, Emily Carducci of Ecorse, MI and Toby Carducci of Steubenville; two granddaughters Christina (Anthony) Socorso and Tessa Kuhn, three great granddaughters Patricia, Emily and Sarah Socorso and many loving nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday at the church from 9:30 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
