Anthony "AJ" DeSarro

Anthony "AJ" DeSarro, 69, of Steubenville died Thursday, February 21, 2019 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. He was born July 5, 1949 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Ida Santucci DeSarro.

AJ was a retired Steubenville police officer. He also served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. AJ was a member of the American Legion Post 0682 of Hopedale and the FOP Lodge #1. He was also a lifetime member of the DAV. 

Surviving are his lovely wife "Flo" Florence Wolford DeSarro, whom he married December 16, 1982 and his foster son Daniel DeSarro of East Liverpool. 

It was AJ's wishes to be cremated with no services. Friends will be invited to memorial visitation starting at 10 am until time of services at 11 am Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with the necessary costs.
