Carlas Spencer Obituary

Carlas A. Spencer, 87, of Steubenville died Friday, February 8, 2019 at Trinity West. He was born September 6, 1931 in Weston, WV. He is the son of the late Dewey and Dora Walker Spencer. Also preceding him in death are three brothers Wayne, Denzel and James; two sisters Sylvia Rice and Naomi Jobes.

Carlas was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as an Electrician for many years, was a member of the LaBell View Church of Christ, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife Faye Miller Spencer; one son Dennis (Jill) Spencer of Lexington Park, MD; one daughter Joyce (Terry) Dahlem of East Springfield; one brother Marshall (Nada) Spencer of Weirton; two grandchildren Sarah and William.

Carlas was also a member of the F&AM Lodge # 22, New Cumberland, the Wintersville American Legion post #557 and enjoyed hunting and traveling.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 11 am, Tom Arehart will officiate. Burial will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell, WV.
