Carleen A. Scurti, 76, of Steubenville died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born July 3, 1941 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Richard and Anna DiCarlo Yannon.
Carleen was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and it's CWC. She was also a member of the Italian American Cultural Club, the CCHS 59ers lunch group and the Ohio Valley Music Guild. Carleen was a proud graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and Saint Mary of the Springs College (Ohio Dominican University).
Throughout her life, and during her passing, Carleen was selflessly devoted to her friends and family, and she taught us all how to embrace our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The love she gave to her family--at Sunday dinner and every day in between--is a gift that will live on forever.
Surviving are her husband Adam Scurti, whom she married June 17, 1967; two daughters Monica (Johnny) DiCarlantonio of Steubenville and Cynthia (Jeff) Clark of Wintersville; one son Evan (Carol) Scurti of Steubenville; four grandchildren Johnny, Vinny, Taylor and Austin "Kutchie".
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 4 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Celebrant and homilist will be Bishop Jeffrey Monforton. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be Sunday at 1 pm.
