Constance "Connie" Mavromatis

Constance "Connie" Mavromatis, 89, of Steubenville died Monday, December 31, 2018 at Trinity West. She was born November 20, 1929 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Michael and Irene Smith Maistros. She is also preceded in death by her husband John E. Mavromatis; three brothers Joseph, George and Chris Vergits; two sisters Liberty Vergits and Rose Johnson.

Connie was a member of Triumph of the Cross Church. She was also a member of the Mingo Senior Center.

Surviving are four sons Michael of Tipp City, OH, Nick (Patty Graham) of Steubenville, John "Yodi" (Holly) of Steubenville and Brian "BJ" (Dodie) of Steubenville; one daughter Mona (Rick) Pehanich of Steubenville; three sisters Angel (Tony) Lupinetti of Wintersville, Athena Nation and Dell Howell both of Steubenville; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Friday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be Friday at 3 pm on Friday.
