I am saddened to find out about Dave's passing. We were together in grade school and high school. Last time our paths crossed was out of high school and his playing in a band in Bridgeport. He was an upbeat guy, loved music, talented guy. My prayers for his family, siblings and friends.

Dave and have been like brothers since around 1963 when him and the late Jim Blank tried to start a band with me as the bass player. I wanted to be the lead singer, after my song which Dave recorded he played it back and that was the end of my singing career but the beginning of our lifelong friendship, love you all.

I am so sorry to hear about David's passing. He was such a gentleman, so kind to me during our too few meetings.

Vicki, I always thought and prayed for Dave, and wanted you to know. One time when he came in The Ville to get his Fresh Catch he told me all about his disease and he wrote down the name of it, with my help. I looked it up that night under the Northwestern Univ. Feinberg school of medicine, and my heart just sank. That paper sat by my computer at home every day since, and just a few weeks ago when I moved, I put the info into my phone so I wouldn't lose it . And I wondered how he was doing. You and your family are in my prayers still, and that's not just words as I have been in your shoes...Maybe today Dave and Justin are betting those horses together? I know Jus really liked Dave a lot; two nice guys too young to leave. Please take good care of yourself... Most Sincerely, Vicki DeLeonardis
