David H. Wigal

David H. Wigal, 71, of Steubenville, passed away, Wednesday, February, 21st, 2018 at home after an extended illness. David was born December 25th, 1946 in Beech Bottom, WV.  He was the son of the late Herman and Helen Wigal.  He was a retired employee of the Cardinal Power Plant.

David was preceded in death by his first wife, Michele H. Arbogast Wigal, sisters, Audrey Somerville, and Mary Ellen Somerville, brother-in-law, Bill Mackinaw, and nephew, Tim Somerville.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Rita A. Mackinaw Wigal, whom he married April 25, 1992; his constant canine companion, Lucy; daughters, Karen (Bill) LaGard; Ginny (Josh) Tate; son, Michael (Cindy) Wigal; nephew, Steve Somerville; 10 grandchildren, Eva, Lainey, Brenen, Jack, Kaylyn, Caleb, Jacob, Abbey, Kayla, and Joshua; 5 great-grandchildren; sister in law Sharon Larkins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

David loved traveling with his wife and friends and enjoyed golfing with his golf buddies.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Additional visitation will be Saturday from 10 am until time of services at 11 am.  Chaplin Jack Ernest will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Union Cemetery.
