Domenico Mannella Obituary

Domenico A. Mannella, 97, of Steubenville died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home. He was born January 10, 1921 in Ateleta, Italy. He is the son of the late Govanne and Maria Mannella. He is also preceded in death by his brother Palmerino Mannella and sister Requilda Zappa. Domenico was retired from Jefferson Community College. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish, Knights of St. Anthony and Knights of Columbus. Domenico fought on the side of the Allies during Word War II in the Free Italian Resistance. Surviving are his wife Yolanda Fronterotta Mannella; two daughters Mary (Frank) Babaryk of Follansbee and Rita (Harry) Costantini of Mingo Jct.; five grandchildren Christopher (Michelle) Petrella, Brian (Lori) Petrella, Amy Costantini, Lisa (Chris) Forrester, Michele (Kevin) Bullock and eight great grandchildren, Nico, Maria, Owen, Andrew, Noah, Madelyn, Luke, and Elizabeth. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 am until 11:30 am at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Funeral liturgy with Mass will follow at 12 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Offer condolences, www.mostifuneralhome.com
