Jeffrey D. Castner

Jeffrey David Castner, 50, of Wilmette, Il, formerly of Steubenville, OH passed away on December 6, 2017 after short, hard fought battle with lung cancer.  
He was born February 13, 1967 in Steubenville, OH, son of Herman and Bunny Castner.  
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Veronica, whom he married February 8, 2013; his two children Harper and Miles; brother Greg of Hilton Head Island, SC; sister Chrissy (David) Zatta  of Steubenville; nieces Leah and Lauren Castner, Julia and Katie Zatta and nephew Zachary Zatta. 
Jeff was a 1985 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School, he attended the Ohio State University and later graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Jeff was and avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and countless friends.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  There will be a vigil at 4 p.m. Sunday.
