John K. Otto

John K. Otto, 64, of Bloomingdale died Monday, June 5, 2017 at Valley Hospice. He was born January 19, 1953 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late John E. "Jack" and Doris Jean Yeater Otto.

John was retired from the Ohio Dept. of Transportation where he was a bridge worker. He was a graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1971.

Surviving are his wife Clarice Krovocheck Otto, whom he married October 6, 1992, four sons Josh (Emily) of Cincinnati, Jon (Kara) of Steubenville, Niko and Luca John Otto both of Bloomingdale; four grandchildren Taylor, Karly, Henry and Lewis; one brother Lew (Peg) Otto of Smithfield; mother-in-law Clara Krovocheck; sister-in-law Marisa (Tim) Bartemas; one niece Abbey (Eric) Wilson; one nephew Jackson Otto; two great nieces Ellie and Maisie and special Aunt Faith Powell.

John was an Eagle Scout and former Scout Master, former linebacker coach at Indian Creek High School, former color analyst for Indian Creek football games and a member of the Hollywood Ukes.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am at the funeral home, Rev. Jack Jackson will officiate. Burial will be private in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
