Joseph Petrelle Obituary

Joseph P. Petrelle, 78, of Steubenville died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home. He was born January 14, 1941 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Jospeh and Elizabeth Gallabrese Petrelle. Also preceding him in death are three sisters Margaret Petrelle, Patricia Petrelle and Suzann Chapel. 

Joseph retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked for 44 years as a clerk. Joe's passion was playing and coaching baseball especially in the Steubenville Little League with the Dodgers and Dragons. He also coached and played co-ed softball for the Poni Express. Joe also played softball for the Post Office.      

He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Surviving are his wife Janet Costantini, whom he married September 2, 1977; Joey (Sondra) Petrelle, Mark Petrelle both of Columbus; twins Jason (Mandy) of Toronto and Jared Petrelle Steubenville; one daughter Annette Petrelle of Steubenville; sisters Elizabeth (Ed) Miltko of Marco Island, FL and Rosemary Kocher of Steubenville; five grandchildren Matthew, Anthony, Brayden Cameron and Gabby.    

Calling hours will be Monday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at the funeral home at 10 am, Fr. Tom Nau will officiate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
