Joshua Andrew Merriman

Joshua Andrew Merriman, 21, of Wintersville, died Saturday, September 16, 2017, at his home. He was born June 13, 1996, in Steubenville. He is the son of Bob and Colleen (Riley) Merriman. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandmother, Cheryl Merriman, maternal grandfather, Dennis "Skip" Riley, and uncle, George Merriman.

Josh was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Class of 2014, where he played baseball, football, and golf.  He also played hockey at John Marshall High School. He was a student at Robert Morris University where he was a part of the Division III Club Hockey Team.  He was looking forward to graduation in December with a degree in Finance and Business Administration.  Josh was an avid poker and hockey player.

Surviving are one sister, Emily Merriman, of Parma, OH; paternal grandfather, Robert (Betty) Merriman, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Rosemarie Riley; two aunts, Barb (Danny) DiCenzo and Jodie Merriman; cousins, Michael, Matthew and Christopher DiCenzo also Alyssa, Bella and Luke Merriman.

Calling hours are Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, with a vigil service Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.  A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  Msgr. Kurt Kemo will celebrate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
