Judith "Judy" A. Hetherington

Judith "Judy" A. Hetherington, 73, of Wintersville died Thursday, February 21, 2019 at West Penn Hospital. She was born July 10, 1945 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Robert Scott and Ada Jones Porter. Also preceding her in death is her brother Robert Porter.

Judy worked at the former St. Anthony School kitchen, Levalor Blindes, Herald Star as a proof runner, and the former Grand Theater ticket window. She was also a member of the American Women's Bowling Association. Judy was an avid bowler and loved fishing and playing bingo.

Surviving are her husband William Hetherington, whom she married June 6, 1970; one son Scott (Shelley) Hetherington of Mingo Jct.; one daughter Deana (Chris) Schiappa of Wintersville; two sister-in-laws Suzanne Porter and Beatrice Mumaw; five grandchildren Lexie McClure, Christopher and Carlo Schiappa, Grant and Alex Weaver.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am at the funeral home, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will officiate. Entombment will follow in Union Cemetery.
