JONES, Mary Margaret Galloway, 93, passed away on Monday, January 15, at the Lancia Villa Royale in Steubenville.  Mary was born August 30, 1924, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice Barrett Galloway.  Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. "Connie" Jones, whom she married on November 6, 1954, and her brothers James and John "Jack" Galloway.

Mary was a 1942 graduate of Catholic Central High School, and worked at the Western Union Office in downtown Steubenville for 12 years.  She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Club, and the American Legion Argonne Post 33 Women's Auxiliary.

Mary was a voracious reader and eagerly sought out new works by her favorite authors.  She also loved to watch EWTN and followed the travels of Popes John Paul II,
Benedict, and Francis.

Mary is survived by her daughters Mary Lou Jones and Connie (Jamie) Moore, and her 
beloved grandchildren, Katherine Moore and Evan Moore, all of Steubenville.

Friends will be received at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel 4435 Sunset Chapel, Steubenville on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.  A vigil service will be held Wednesday at 4 pm.  A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Steubenville, with burial to follow in Union Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Central High School or to EWTN, Irondale, AL 35210.
