Barbara Maureen Hanly Lovinski died August 25, 2017 in Massillon, Ohio.  Maureen, a 45 year resident of Wintersville, OH, was born September 30, 1934 in West Virginia to James Albert and Helen Marjorie Hanly.

Maureen was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, John J. Lovinski, Jr in 2010 and her grandson John Adam Motto in 1987. Her siblings Jean Martin, Patricia Bevilacqua, and Jim Hanley also predeceased her.

Maureen was a proud 1952 graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Wheeling, WV where she met her future husband who was attending the then all male Wheeling Central Catholic High School.  John and Maureen became parents of five children and Maureen was an active, stay at home mom until she joined the staff of the Steubenville Catholic Central HS cafeteria.  Her years working at the high school were some of her most enjoyable. John and Maureen were faithful members of Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Wintersville beginning in 1971.

Maureen is survived by her children Kim Lovinski and Mark Clark of South Charleston, WV; Tammy and Gary Motto of Tiltonsville, OH; Joni and Randy Snyder of New Franklin, OH; Matthew Lovinski of Canfield, OH; and Meghan Alkire of Massillon, OH.  She is also survived by her much cherished grandchildren:  Casey, Nathan, Dan, Erin, Nick, Helen, Jason, Bo, Lianna, Jesse, Joe, Katie, Kylie, Kate, Ben, and Anna Maureen.  Dearly loved nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law also survive.

A memorial service and celebration of Maureen’s life will be held on her birthday, Saturday, September 30, from 10 am until time of services at Noon at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.

In lieu of flowers, Maureen requested that memorial donations be made to either Wheeling Central Catholic High School or Steubenville Catholic Central High School.  The family would also appreciate memorial donations to a local non-profit hospice program of your choosing.

The family will hold a private internment at Our Lady of the Seven Dolours cemetery in Tridelphia, WV.
