Max R. "Bob" Yeske, 71, of Bloomingdale died Monday, April 23, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born May 12, 1946 in Chicago. He is the son of the late Max and Mary Constantine Yeske.
Max was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a Millwright for 34 years and spent several years as a teacher's aide in the Harrison Hills School District. He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church. Max was also a member of the NRA and enjoyed his outdoor hobbies fishing and gardening. He was also an avid knife collector.
Max was a graduate of Catholic Central High School class of 1964. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife Sandra Lashhorn Yeske, whom he married May 19, 1984; one son Joshua (Erica) of Pittsburgh; one daughter Veronica (Nick) Kuhns of Weirton; one brother Frank (Janine) Yeske of Wintersville; three sisters Pam (Dan) Ialenti of Wintersville, Vicki Lynn Yeske of Wintersville and Kerri (Ralph) Scharfenberg of Burgettstown.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 9 am until the time of Mass at 10 am at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Richmond, Fr. Jack McCoy will celebrate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Weirton. A vigil service will be Wednesday at 7:45 pm.
