Michael J. Swick

Michael J. Swick, 36, of Austintown, formerly of Bloomingdale, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at his home. He was born March 27, 1981 in Steubenville. He is the son of William Swick of Toronto and Janis Borsch Di Venanzo of Colliers, WV.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Borsch, and paternal grandparents, Steve and Pearl Swick.

Michael was a pipefitter for the Union Hall Local 396 in Boardman, OH.

Michael was Catholic by faith.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, three brothers, his twin, Frank, of Austintown, Rick (Wendy) of Austintown, and Stephan (Dawn) of Meridian, ID; two sisters ,Tonya (Fiancé Larry Eckstein) Carter of Austintown and Stephanie (Shawn) Tewell of Martinsburg, WV; step-brother Eric (Aftyn) Di Venanzo of Shallotte, NC; step-sister Amy (Nathanael) Kuzma of Follansbee; Maternal grandmother, Martha Borsch, of Toronto; half-sisters Shanley (Joseph) Allen of East Liverpool and Valerie Swick of Toronto; half-brother Will Swick (Girlfriend Ashley Corder) of Toronto; eight nephews and six nieces.     

He was a graduate of Edison High School class of 1999. Michael loved hunting, fishing, golfing, shooting pool and was an avid Pittsburgh Penquins fan. Michael served his country in the United States Air Force.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church Follansbee, WV, Fr. Cory Ford will celebrate. A vigil service will be Wednesday at 7:45 pm.
