Norene "Sissy" Young Obituary

Norene E. “Sissy” Young, 71, of Steubenville died Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital after a 4 year battle with bone cancer. She was born January 4, 1948 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late John and Grace Pyle Mackall. She is preceded in death by two brothers Lee and Larry Fithen.

Norene was a member of the Big Red Band Parents for a number of years. She was an avid Big Red, Ohio State and Dallas Cowboy’s fan.

Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Bob Young; one daughter Pam Smith; grandson Brandon Kaiser; brother Frank (Terri) Fithen; In-laws, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews many of whom she had a major role in raising.

She will be cremated with no services. It is now ok to be happy, her pain and suffering is gone.
