Our beloved “General” has fallen asleep. Pete “The General” Petrides passed away at home on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019. Pete was born October 18, 1917.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and by far a great friend. He was a WW II veteran, owner of the “Wheel Restaurant”, and wrestling and boxing commissioner. He was a Greek immigrant living the American dream.
Pete was always lending a helping hand, from feeding our police officers to feeding the homeless to feeding the Generals in WW II, hence the name General.
Wilshire always had a friendly face, in Pete Petrides, whether it was a good day or bad, Pete’s response would be, “How sweet it is”
