Robert Anthony Gentile, born on April 24, 1939; died in Las Vegas, April 7, 2018. Robert was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio, attended Steubenville Big Red High School, and was a steel mill worker for many years. He married Joan Constantine, on May 9, 1964, and they had three children, Denise, Lisa, and Paul. In 1975, the family relocated to Las Vegas, to start a new life. Robert reinvented himself at the age of 36, went to college and obtained a B.S. in Nursing, from UNLV in the late 1970s.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Matilda and Luigi, his brother, Pasquale ("Patsy"), his sister Joanne LeMieux, and his son, Paul. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eileen ("Joan") nee Constantine, his daughters, Denise and Lisa of Las Vegas, his siblings, Yolanda Thomas ("Yollie"), Edward (Susie), Louis (Carmella), of Steubenville, Ohio, Mafalda Canella ("Fee"), of Las Vegas, his brothers in law, Wayne LeMieux of Albuquerque, brother-in-law Richard Rock (Amy), sister-in-law, Paula Anzuini, of Columbus, Ohio, his many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his grandson, Niccolo. Since approximately 2015, Robert suffered from a rare condition, called Primary Progressive Aphasia. Due to that illness, on April 7, 2018, he was taken from us unexpectedly and far too soon; he is dearly loved and will be sorely missed by his loved ones and friends.
