Rose M. DiCesare

Rose M. DiCesare, 95, of Steubenville died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Country Club Manor. She was born November 28, 1922 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Raphael Coluccio and Rosaria "Marianne" Pedestre Coluccio Starinieri. Also preceding her in death are her husband Anthony DiCesare; stepfather Joseph Starinieri; sister Julia Salomone; half brother Anthony Starinieri; and two step brothers Tony and Albert Starinieri; step sisters Dora Marchetti and Adeline Sciarroni; son in laws Lowell Thomas, Thomas Petrella and Thomas Davis. 

Rose was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, formerly a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was the past Vice President of St. Anthony's CWC, was also a member of the Italian American Culture Club and her card club.

Surviving are three daughters Marie Thomas of Steubenville, Margaret Petrella of Wintersville and Patricia (Jim) Swearingen of Columbus; eight grandchildren Michael, Tommy, James, Gina, Michelle, Timothy, Jamie and Kevin; two step grandsons; seven great grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held Thursday at 6:45 pm.
