Russell E. Crawford

Russell E. Crawford, 81, of Mingo Jct. died Wednesday April 24, 2019 at Valley Hospice. He was born January 10, 1938 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Russell and Mary Smith Crawford. Also preceding him in death is one brother Robert Crawford. 

Russell worked at Timet where he was a forge operator for many years. He was Catholic by faith and a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish. Russell also served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves.  

Surviving are his wife Judith Petrola Crawford; two sons Russell (Beth) Crawford of Pittsburgh and Mike (Heather) Crawford of Columbus; one daughter Kelli Crawford (Derrick Keplar) of Columbus; five grandchildren Lindsey, Ashley, Gabby, Jared and Brayden.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Ryan Grey will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date.
