Stanley "Fishy" Allen

Stanley "Fishy" J. Allen, 91, of Steubenville died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Trinity West. He was born October 15, 1927 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Leslie and Ann Mulrooney Allen. Also preceding him in death are his wife Regetta Brigante Allen; three brothers Charles, William and John Allen. 

Fishy was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish. Fishy was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. He was also a member of the American Legion Argonne Post 33 and the Knights of Columbus 472. 

Fishy proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. 

Surviving are two sons Craig (Patty) Allen of Toronto and Chris (Suzanne) Allen of Steubenville; one daughter Ann Allen, one sister Mary Catherine "Cassie" (Anthony "Ziggy") Mieczkowski of Wintersville; two granddaughters Emily and Sarah.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be Monday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held Sunday at 2 pm.
