Therese J. Lemal

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Therese J. Lemal, on April 8, 2018, at Trinity West.

Terri was born on October 17, 1925, in Mingo Junction, the daughter of the late Louis and Lucille Cashioli Cortez. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John F. Lemal, on November 18, 2011, whom she married on September 7,1948 and her brother, Frank J. Cortez.

Terri was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church where she had been in the choir, the Women’s Club and the St. Francis Society. She was also an active member of the Prime Time Center in Steubenville.  In the 1970’s, she and her husband owned and operated Tri Way Family Shoe Store in Toronto. Over the years, she worked part time at the Hub, Sears, and Uniforms and Essentials, and was for many years a volunteer at Trinity Hospital.

Surviving are her five children, Noreen (Dennis) Peterson, Mike (Paula Wilson) Lemal, Jackie (Paul) Romano, Jill (Rob Torrance) Lemal, with whom she resided, and John (Diane) Lemal; one sister, Babe (Dan) Macre, and 3 grandchildren, Stone (fiancée Holly Babcock) Romano, Kohl and Gianna Lemal.

Calling hours are Wednesday 4-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd.  A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 am Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau, celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be vigil service at 4:00 pm on Wednesday.
