Thomas S. Padden

Thomas S. Padden, 67, of Weirton died Sunday, June 2, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. He was born January 30, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio. He is the son of the late Thomas J. and Barbara Dyer Padden. He is also proceeded in death by a sister, Monica A. Padden.
Tom was a recent retiree of Payless Shoe Source, where he was a manager of 41 years. He also was currently employed at FedEx in Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, where he was heavily involved. He loved spending his time watching Pittsburgh and West Virginia University sporting events and spent his summers being poolside at Starvaggi Memorial Pool and traveling to the beach with his family. Tom was also a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School class of 1970. 
Surviving are his two children, son Thomas A. Padden of Washington, D.C. and daughter Katherine M. Padden of Weirton.  Also survived by brothers, James R. (Karen) of Steubenville, William D. (Carol) and Daniel G (Lynn) of Cambridge, OH, and many nieces and nephews. 
Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Father Nau will celebrate. A private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later time.
