Tom and I were boyhood friends and payed sports together - basketball and track at Windber High and basketball at Pitt-Johnstown. He was a great friend.

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Tom's family, but I knew Tom well when he was young. We grew up in Windber, PA and lived only a few houses from each other. We were best friends and we shared so many good times together when we were both very young boys. Later, we were on the junior varsity basketball team together. He was a great friend. Then, life took us on different paths. I am returning to Windber this June for our 50th high school re-union. I had hoped to see Tom there and I had meant to contact him many times, just to say hello. I won't have that chance now and I am sorry for that. I remember Tom as loyal, caring and fun. My deep condolences to his family.

Sandy, Crissy, Jen and Carrie... Hardly seems real that the tough, gentle giant has gone home to be with God. I will always remember his smile, his little giggle, his perfect curls and him stomping on the floor. I felt important when I had a designated number stomp.
