Antigone "Toni" DiDonato, of Columbus, formerly of Wintersville, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Family Hospice in Pittsburgh. She was born November 3, 1939 in Chios, Greece. She is the daughter of the late Pantelis and Amelia Ligias. Toni was retired from Sears where she worked in the Appliance Dept. and also was the former bookkeeper for Gerrero Music. Surviving are her husband Fred DiDonato, whom she married June 10, 1967; three sons Fred (Stephanie) of Upper Arlington, OH, Mark (Maggie) Marysville, OH and Christopher of Lewis Center, OH; three grandchildren Anthony DiDonato, Malia DiDonato and Samuel Mathes; sister in law Camilla (Tom) Cicone of Wintersville; nieces Karen (Greg) Hock of Lewis Center and Pam (Mike) Kapustik of Sarver, PA; great nephews Gregory Hock, Ryan Hock and Jared Kapustik. Toni was a proud survivor of a lung transplant in 2014. Toni’s family would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful, caring, and selfless individual who so generously donated her organ for the transplant and allowed us four more years to share. Toni was a member of Church of the Resurrection in New Albany, OH. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
