Agnes Ferrelli of Collierville,TN, formerly of Steubenville, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by many who loved her. She was born in Toronto, Ohio on November 1, 1925, to Joseph A. Barlas and Anna (Hromi) Barlas.
Agnes was very active throughout her life. She was involved with the Ohio Woman’s Bowling Association. She bowled with a team of ladies with whom she shared many laughs, awards and fond memories. For many years Agnes volunteered at Triumph of the Cross (Holy Rosary) helping with Bingo and funeral dinners as well as the Rosary Maker’s and Ladies Guild. Agnes enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Agnes married Pete A. Ferrelli on August 22, 1953. They were married for 36 years before his death in March of 1989.
Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents include her siblings: Mary (Joseph) DelFiandra of Steubenville, Ohio; Joesph (who died serving our country during WWII); Margaret (Al) Zekas of Steubenville, Ohio; John (Ann) Barlas of Toronto, Ohio; Eleanor Barlas of Washington, D.C.; and Ann Catherine (Joe) Candal of Toronto, Ohio.
Agnes is survived by her children: Dan (Sharon Barry) of Melbourne, FL; Monica Ferrelli-Lemmon (Dwight) of Collierville, TN. Five grandchildren Nicole (John) Kirkland of Rockledge, FL; Meghan Ferrelli of Melbourne, Fl; Brianna (Jake) Dowdy of Somerville, TN; Marisa Lemmon of Nashville, TN and Christopher Lemmon of Knoxville, TN along with four great-grandchildren: Wade Dowdy and Mallory Dowdy of Somerville, TN; Mason Ferrelli and Haley Kirkland of Rockledge, FL.
Visitation will be Friday, January 14, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will follow at 12:30 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 200 Rosemont Ave., Steubenville. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
