Agnes Chilensky Morris, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023 in WIlloughby, Ohio at Maple Ridge Senior Living surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hanlin Station, Pennsylvania on August 22, 1935, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Chilensky.
Agnes graduated from Union High School in Burgettstown in 1953 and then from the Ohio Valley School of Nursing. She worked for years as a registered nurse and retired from Lancia’s Country Club Manor in the late 1990s. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church and was a member of Catholic Daughters of America for years. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John, Edward, Frank, David, Paul and August; and her sisters, Mary and Grace.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles E. Morris; two sons, Charles (Mary Beth) of Robinson Twp, Pennsylvania and Gregory (Mary) of Mentor, Ohio; four grandchildren, Gregory, Garrett, Sarah and Diana Morris; one sister, Martha Hlusko of Los Angeles County, California; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, 4-7 p.m., at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. There will be a vigil service Tuesday at 4 p.m.
