Albert J. Panyi

Albert J. Panyi, 89, of Steubenville passed away peacefully at home Nov. 18, 2021. He was born Sept. 26, 1932 in Steubenville. He was the son of the late Michael and Mary Panyi. Also preceding him in death were brother William Panyi, and sisters Margaret Foster, Mary DeVictor, and Barbara Fushon.

Albert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elaine; sister Kathryn Matthews; children Stephen (Nancy) Panyi and Susan (David) Korch. Albert is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Albert barbered in Steubenville for more than 60 years and had a unique sense of humor befitting of a barber. Albert was a loving family man with a big heart, and a kind and generous spirit who will be immensely missed by his family.

Family and friends will be received at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. On Tuesday 12pm until the time of services at 2pm. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery
